Melior is a lineage 2 classic server that relaunched with a grand opening on 25 September, and this clip comes from its Ancient Battleground, one of the open-field zones where two groups meet with nothing to farm but each other. The footage is an eight-minute swing between the CPs ElClano and Gravity, and it reads like Classic combat should: slow to start, then decided in one or two clean calls.
What happens in the Ancient Battleground fight
The recording follows the WhiteStrong CP as it moves into a wide open zone, and the two sides spend the opening minutes feeling for the other's line before committing. There is no instance timer and no respawn wall to lean on out here, so losing the first exchange means walking back. The fight turns on support placement: when a Shillien Elder or Bishop is caught out of position, the whole party folds in a matter of seconds, and that is what the clip shows more than any novel tactic.
The Melior server: Classic x3, staged progression
Melior has been running Classic since 2021, and its new world uses the Kamael 4.0 patch on a modernised client. Progression is unlocked in stages, covering experience, items, raid bosses, instances and hunting grounds, so the early server is deliberately narrower than a fully opened one. It is free to play with a single currency called L-Coin earned through hunting, raid bosses, events and the Olympiad, and it ships quality-of-life systems including autofarm and offline farming, which matters on a slow x3 box where time is the real currency.
Why Classic still holds a crowd in 2026
Classic is where the pre-Gracia pacing survives, and Melior leans into that instead of trying to rush past it. Leveling is the content, gear has weight for a long time, and the stat gap between a veteran and a newcomer closes slowly enough that preparation and party composition actually decide fights. On a staged server the effect is stronger still: everyone is pushed through the same gates at roughly the same time, so the field is never dominated by a group that simply out-geared the rest overnight. That is the pitch for players who want the old grind rather than a two-week dash to the endgame.
