Lineage 2 C4 Server: Valakas Raid and PvP on Lineage Classic
Some players want the modern chronicles with all the quality-of-life, and some want to go back to the old rules. This clip is for the second group. Published on 1 October by the r_revival channel, it captures a Lineage 2 C4 server session on Lineage Classic: the September Valakas raid and a PvP exchange on the open field. If you have been looking for the slower, harsher version of the game, the footage is a decent snapshot of what that looks like in practice.
What the clip shows
The recording is a compact session rather than a full-day stream. It opens around the Valakas raid and then moves into open-field PvP, which is the honest shape of an old-chronicle evening: you show up for the boss, and the fight you actually remember happens on the way to it. There is no commentary, so the value is in watching how a C4-era character moves and fights, and how quickly a quiet raid turns into a scrap between parties.
What Lineage Classic is
Lineage Classic runs two worlds, Fairplay and Hardcore, both built on C4 mechanics with a High Five client. The project describes the mix as "heart C4, character C5", meaning the combat and rules feel like the Chaos Chronicle era while the client and some class options come from a later build. It is a deliberate choice for players who want the old pacing but not the oldest technical limitations.
- Rates. The Fairplay world runs x3 EXP/SP, x3 Adena, x2 for stones, x3 spoil and drop, and x3 raid-boss drop. Hardcore is a notch lower at x2 for most of those. Quest rates stay at x1 on both.
- No pay to win. The project states there is no pay-to-win, and it allows up to three windows, so a solo player can run their own support without a second machine.
- Schedule. The site lists an opening date of 9 October, so the world is either testing or just about to launch depending on when you read this.
Why C4 still matters
C4 is where a lot of Lineage 2 veterans say the game felt most consequential. Levels are slow, gear is hard to replace, and losing a fight actually costs you something, which makes every open-world encounter matter more than it does on a high-rate realm. A x3 rate softens that a little without turning it into a fast server, and it keeps clan politics relevant because you cannot simply re-roll your way to the top.
The trade is time. If you have a few hours a week, a C4 x3 will feel like a wall. If you want a world where your character's progress means something and the field is dangerous again, this is the kind of server that delivers that, and the Valakas clip shows the reward: a real fight over a real boss, not a loot train.
How to join
You register and download through the official site, and the two worlds let you pick your intensity. For a group deciding where to start an old-school run this season, it is worth watching the clip, checking which world suits your playtime, and then committing to one. If you want to see how it stacks up against other old chronicles first, our C1-C4 server list is the place to compare.
