Lineage 2 Castle Siege at Innadril on LU4 Carmine
On 20 September, HitmeHard and TheWhiteOrder fought over Innadril Castle on LU4 Carmine, and this is the Gladiator point of view from that Lineage 2 castle siege. LU4 runs its own Unreal Engine client, so the pace feels different from a stock Interlude box, but the rules that decide a castle have not changed. Below is what the footage shows, what LU4 Carmine actually is, and what to watch for on your own siege weekend.
What happens in the Innadril fight
The clip opens with both sides already parked on the inner courtyard. HitmeHard pushes the gate first while TheWhiteOrder holds the choke, and for the first minutes almost nothing lands, which is normal for a castle fight: whoever blinks first loses the formation. The Gladiator camera stays glued to the melee, so you see the shove of bodies at the entrance and the moments the attackers finally break the line.
It is a short, clean recording rather than a full siege stream. There is no commentary, no kill overlay and no post-match breakdown, just the fight. That makes it a decent reference if you want to see how a two-clan scrap on a single castle actually looks once the buffs are up and everyone is committed.
What LU4 Carmine is
LU4 is a Lineage 2 project built on Unreal Engine rather than the classic client. It has run public tests since 2024 and splits its world into named branches, and the footage here comes from the Carmine branch. The idea is a classic MMORPG feel with a modern engine: familiar castles, familiar sieges, and the same clan politics, rendered with new models and a much heavier client.
Because it is not a stock Interlude or High Five build, do not expect the exact skill trees, enchant ceilings or rates of the old chronicles. Check the branch you plan to play before you invest time, since each one tunes progression differently. The siege rules are the part that stays close to the original formula.
Siege mechanics worth watching
- The first breach decides the mood. Once one clan is inside, the defenders have to fight on two fronts, the gate and the inner hall.
- Gladiator positioning. A melee camera shows how the front line holds the ramp; if it breaks, the flag rush follows within seconds.
- Numbers matter more than gear. With mixed parties and no perfect builds, a tighter formation usually beats a stronger individual.
How to join LU4 or follow the sieges
LU4 is free to try and its client is a download from the official site, so the barrier to entry is just disk space and patience with a large install. If you want a server that still runs castle wars on a schedule, this is a reasonable one to test. If you would rather compare options across eras first, start from our full server directory and filter by what you actually want to play.
For the vlog, this entry sits alongside other siege recordings from servers that are live right now. Watch the clip, then decide whether the Unreal Engine pace is for you.
