High Five Leveling Guide: 1 to 85 Without Wasted Days

High Five levels smoother than any classic-era chronicle before it, but the difference between a clean week-one climb to 85 and a miserable crawl usually comes down to route planning. This High Five leveling guide walks the full road from the starting village to the level cap: the buffs to claim, the hunting zones per bracket, the instances worth your time, and the shortcuts that skip entire grind walls.
Before You Leave Town: Buffs and Freebies
- Nevit's Hourglass: donate adena to the Priest of Blessing in any major town for Nevit's Voice and an experience-boosting hourglass. Claim at every bracket: 19-20, 20-39, 40-51, 52-60, 61-75, 76-79 and 80-85. Main and subclass each get their own claims.
- Coupons and shadow gear: class masters exchange Weapon D coupons, and cheap shadow weapons plus Common items from town stores carry you through the 40s and 50s. Save your adena for S grade.
- Seven Signs: sign up at the Priest of Dawn or Dusk early. Contribution pays off in the 70s.
The Newbie Guide and Supply Check quests hand out starting soulshots and a wooden set. Sell what you do not need, it is your first adena in the bank.

Levels 20 to 39: The First Real Grind
After your first class transfer, rotate through the mid-world zones instead of camping one map: Abandoned Camp and the Forgotten Temple near Gludin, the Ruins of Despair and Ant Nest around Gludio, Plains of Dion and Execution Grounds, Breka's Stronghold past Giran, and the Plunderous Plains if Schuttgart is your home region. Catacombs and necropolises (Heretic, Pilgrims) work well with a party when the Seven Signs seals favor your side.
Instances start mattering here. Rim Pailaka opens at level 20 and repeats every few levels, the Kamaloka hall at 23 drops solid early gear, and the Labyrinth of the Abyss at 29 and 39 takes groups of two to nine for top D and C rewards. Take the Pailaka Song of Ice and Fire quest chain at 36 for a free ring and earring set plus a full vitality refill.
Levels 40 to 76: The Long Climb
This stretch is where routes diverge by class and party size, but the ladder looks like this:
- 40-52: Cruma Tower, Sea of Spores, Timak Outpost, Alligator Island, Forest of Mirrors, Tanor Canyon.
- 52-61: Cruma Tower upper floors, Cemetery, Forsaken Plains, Frozen Labyrinth, Fields of Massacre.
- 61-70: Tower of Insolence, Forbidden Gateway, Valley of Saints, Blazing Swamp, Forest of the Dead, Wall of Argos.
- 70-76: Pavel Ruins, Hot Springs, Archaic Laboratory, Silent Valley, the deeper catacombs and Saint's Necropolis.
Mutated Kaneus quests at 48 and 58 pair naturally with the level-range Kamaloka for bonus experience and adena. Pailaka Devil's Legacy (61-67) refills vitality again mid-climb. If adena runs dry around level 40, the four-step Cruma quest chain pays out over 300k combined.

Levels 76 to 82: Third Class and the Real Game
At 76 you take the third class change and switch goals: low-S gear from town stores first, then Dynasty and Icarus from drops and crafts, Moirai armor after that, eventually Vesper. Three shortcuts unique to this era help:
- Subclass without Baium: kill regular monsters in the Tower of Insolence for the subclass quest items instead of scheduling an epic raid.
- Noblesse without Barakiel: the substitution mobs spawn in the Valley of Saints.
- Delusion Chamber at 80: a two-to-nine-player instance whose raid boss can drop Dynasty weapons and jewels, and whose Guiding Tea Leaves trade for Dynasty armor pieces.
Zones in this bracket: Imperial Tomb and the Ketra or Varka barracks at 76, Forge of the Gods and Isle of Prayer at 78, Giant's Cave, Monastery of Silence and early Hellbound Island at 80, then Dragon Valley and Stakato Nest toward 82. Take the Path to Hellbound quest at 78 so the island is open when you need it.
83 to 85: Closing the Gap
The final levels concentrate into a short list: Monastery of Silence, Plains of Lizardmen, Sel Mahum Training Grounds, Beast Farm, the Fields of Silence and Whisper, Primeval Isle and Dragon Valley all drop Moirai and Icarus quest materials while you grind. At 85, Antharas Lair and the Seed of Annihilation become the headline spots, with the epic instance rotation (Zaken, Frintezza, Ekimus, Tiat, Freya) as the weekly spine. Territory Wars double as a noblesse fallback and a source of belt upgrades and S80 jewels.
Where to Take That Level 85 Character
An endgame character deserves a server with a working economy and a population that fills raid channels. Compare the active High Five private servers on L2Calendar, filtered by rates and opening dates, and start your next climb where people still play.
